Future Flyers Plying as Phantoms

The Philadelphia Flyers' organizational depth grows like a tree from Lehigh Valley, where several Phantoms have put in solid production thus far.

It’s time for a late season look at the Flyers organization forward depth. For those who don’t already know me, my sim style could be described as a stubborn Christmas tree farmer. I am willing to play the long game and I am stubborn to move off my plan.

1. Barrett Hayton is coming off a huge first season with 75 points in 66 games. That pumped his scoring numbers to 75pa 75sc 65df. Leaving him at 70ov going into this season his last on the farm. He is a little off last season's scoring pace but has really committed to playing a full 200-foot game this season.

2. Cole Perfetti is high on this list based on age and upside. At only 67ov he has a lot of time to develop on the farm. Being a few seasons away he had to take a back seat role on the team. At only 67ov his 73pa 71sc really stands out. We expect big things from Cole in the future.

3. Joel Farabee is coming off a huge 83 point season in Iowa. All the skills are there Farabee with 74pa 76sc 66df. Farabee will be joining Hayton on the Flayers full-time next season.

4. Jesper Boqvist was another high-end import this season. Coming off an over a PPG for the Wilkes-Barre team. He is another burner with high-end speed to go with his 71pa 75sc 65df. At 69ov it is still yet to be determined if he will be making the jump after this season.

5. Michael McLeod is still a few seasons away. Last season he had 67 points in 75 games. He is on pace to beat that this season. Behind the number looking deeper you will see he is one of the team leaders in FO% and hits with 104 and close to the bottom of the list with one 16pim. At 68ov and 73pa 66sc 66df he will be back for the Phantoms next season.

6. Brian Pinho has really made some sacrifices for the origination. With an 80-point season last year. It was tough for him to accept a lesser role this season. Still, he has really bought into it. He is on pace for 60 points while improving all the little things you don’t see on the score sheet. It will not get any easier for Pinho as he will always have an uphill battle for playing time up the middle.

7. Klim Kostin was a terror on the ice in Iowa last season. Racking up 160 hits to go with his 47 points. This season he has been asked to change his game a little. At only 66ov he has 66pa 67sc to go with his monster 81FG. So far he is putting up more points and hits than last season. He does have 65pim but they are not cheap as he has seven fighting majors.

8. Martin Kaut is another young player at only 66ov he has 68pa 68sc. And this season he has stepped up. Coming off 60 points last season he is on pace to beat that while settling into more of a two-way game.

9. Matthew Boldy is fresh out of college and still finding his way at this level. Starting at 65ov he comes in with 68pa 66sc. He has struggled at times to get going. Still, he remains positive knowing his time will come.

10. Dylan Holloway is another fresh face fighting to find his spot. Holloway is another 65ov player with 70pa 66sc and a bright future. When the injury bug hit the Flyers he did get 14 games with the big club. In his 14 games, he had 2g 4a and was +3.
