Night three of the BEARD Hockey preseason saw a trinity of teams get their trifecta on, while a pair of Western teams struggle to find their footing.

Carey Price debuts in Buffalo, backstopping the Sabres with 25 saves en route to their first victory of the exhibition season - a 3-2 win in Vegas.

Jonathan Drouin and Nico Hischier scored while Semyon Varlamov stopped ll 18 shots he faced as the Rangers downed the Blue Jackets by a 2-0 margin.

Dougie Hamilton's pair of tallies and Anton Khudobin's 31 saves were more than enough to take care of the Canes, as Tampa Bay earns a 4-2 victory in Raleigh.

The Avalanche got out to an early 2-0 lead on Nashville, then proceeded to yield six goals in less than 13 minutes, as the Preds emerge victorious on a 7-3 score.

A ho-hum affair went completely bonkers in Winnipeg as the Jets and Coyotes combined for nine goals in the final period - the home Jets pulled away with a 6-5 win, their third straight to start the preseason.
