Preseason Night 3: Wings, Lightning, Jets all earn 3rd straight wins

Night three of the BEARD Hockey preseason saw a trinity of teams get their trifecta on, while a pair of Western teams struggle to find their footing.



In a game that wasn't as close as the score indicates, Alex Radulov powers Detroit to an easy 4-2 victory over Montreal, earning the Wings three straight wins during preseason.


Carey Price debuts in Buffalo, backstopping the Sabres with 25 saves en route to their first victory of the exhibition season - a 3-2 win in Vegas.


Jonathan Drouin and Nico Hischier scored while Semyon Varlamov stopped ll 18 shots he faced as the Rangers downed the Blue Jackets by a 2-0 margin.


Dougie Hamilton's pair of tallies and Anton Khudobin's 31 saves were more than enough to take care of the Canes, as Tampa Bay earns a 4-2 victory in Raleigh.


The Avalanche got out to an early 2-0 lead on Nashville, then proceeded to yield six goals in less than 13 minutes, as the Preds emerge victorious on a 7-3 score.


A ho-hum affair went completely bonkers in Winnipeg as the Jets and Coyotes combined for nine goals in the final period - the home Jets pulled away with a 6-5 win, their third straight to start the preseason.


A tight matchup between Los Angeles and Anaheim required a shootout, with Elias Lindholm and Kyle Connor lighting the lamp in the breakaway contest to give the Kings a 4-3 win.
