Preseason Night 4: Welcome to Clobber Town

To say some teams took a 'night off' on Tuesday might be an understatement. Six of the 16 games saw either a shutout, a blowout, or a 3-goal win.

How do you break a 3-3 tie with 15 minutes left in regulation? Score five goals in the next 11 minutes, that's how. Eight Leafs players registered at least two points en route to a 8-3 drubbing to the Senators in Ottawa.

Frost, Bjugstad, and Ehlers tallied the goals, and Joonas Korpisalo did the rest, as the Kraken slithered their way to a 3-0 win against San Jose.

The Red Wings stayed hot, albeit barely, over a game Sabres club. Andre Burakovsky scored his second of two goals on the night in OT to left Detroit to a 4-3 victory over Buffalo.

That's gotta be Kane, indeed! Patrick Kane took matters into his own hands on Tuesday night, netting a hat trick for Columbus on their way to a 6-1 romp of of the Flyers.

Tampa Bay continues to roll as Pavel Buchnevich scores twice and four others notch tallies as well in sending the Lightning to a 6-4 win over Florida.

You know it's a bad night when you get pulled with less than a minute left in a period. The Avalanche poured four goals on Calgary's Antti Raanta in the second frame, chasing him and the hosting Flames in a 5-2 Colorado victory.

Cody Glass and Roope Hintz each continued their hot preseasons, both scoring twice to bring their totals to four tallies apiece in the exhibition season as Pittsburgh downs the Blues by a 6-2 margin.
