There's a New Sheriff in Town

Jesse Edwards was warmly welcomed to BEARD Hockey this week and we were able to hear from the newly crowned Jets General Manager.

"I’d like to start off thanking all the other members of BEARD Hockey for the welcoming. I have a bit of catching up to do, but not a lot.

"I have been reviewing our roster and have identified some needs. Clearly this team will be built from the net out with Connor Hellebuyck being the back bone. The main area I will be looking at improving will be up the middle.

"That being said, we currently are holding down a playoff spot so I will be looking to upgrade in the very near future. We are currently updating a trade block list and will be distributing that shortly.

"We look forward to our first game under new management tonight against the Minnesota Wild. Coach Cooper and I have sat down and created a new system and will implement that immediately."

Hellebuyck got the start and the new line combinations, implemented in practice earlier this morning, worked wonders. The Jets had no problems besting the Wild, jumping out to a 4-0 lead before settling for a 5-2 victory.
