While Stars GM Marc-Andre Laberge may be a man of few words, he let his drafting speak for itself amid growing powerhouses in the West.
With the BEARD Hockey Dispersal Draft over, and the pressure off their shoulders, the Dallas Stars management staff is proud of the team who will be on the ice during the first season of the Beard Hockey League.
The vision of GM Marc-Andre Laberge, a man known to be one of few words, was clear as he indicated to journalists during a recent press conference.
Built for "immediate success"
In order to build a team ready to compete right away, Laberge selected well-established stalwarts like Mika Zibanejad, Jakub Voracek, and Tuukka Rask.
The battle for a playoff spot in the Central Division will be a long and rough journey with teams that constantly improve by acquiring key players. Recent examples include the Chicago Blackhawks acquiring Eric Staal and Robin Lehner, and the St. Louis Blues bringing in Sidney Crosby.
The Stars new head coach, Gerard Gallant, has the utmost mission of finding the perfect balance with each players talent and using it to defend the team's reputation over 82 games.
